"Lucy" - Script and Roles.

Roles
Lucy is going to be played by Anais' 12 year old cousin Lucy. She is an 9 year old girl who has gone missing as a result of her Dad leaving her home alone when she was 7. The police never found her body and the search has gone on for 2 years. She lived alone with her Dad after her Mum died when she was 4 and as shown in our sequence they had a close relationship. Lucy's Dad is going to be played by Anais' Dad Kevin. He plays a man in his 30's living alone after the disappearance of his Daughter. Ever since her disappearance he has stayed at home drinking which has resulted in him developing a mental illness and addiction to alcohol.

Voice Over's
Policeman The voice of the policeman will be played my Dad, Matt, his part will tell the story of the Police blaming Lucy's Dad for her disappearance.
Neighbour The voice of the neighbour will be played by my Mum, Andrea. She will accuse Lucy's Dad of bad parenting and torment him by telling him Lucy is never coming back and calling him 'mad.'
News Reader Played by Anais' nan, Brenda, reading out the time she went missing and information on the abduction.

Basic Outline - Script
Lucy's Dad falls asleep.
Lucy: Laughter.
Policeman: So you were absent when Lucy went missing?
Neighbour: You disgust me. How could you?
Policeman: So what exactly were you doing? [Voices overlap]
Neighbour: She's just a bloody kid, you left her out there ALONE!
Lucy: [Laughter getting louder.]
News reader: Lucy Block aged 7 has been missing for 24 hours now...
Policeman: We're doing all we can for Lucy, we will try our best to find her...
Lucy: [Laughing louder]
[Happy birthday song being sung softly in the background]
Lucy: [Laughing uncontrollably]
News reader: The search for Lucy continues.
