Target Audience

As our film is rated as a 15 our primary target audience is roughly aged 15 to aged 25. I think this because films such as Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister etc have all been particularly successful with our generation, which we know through our own experience and our friendship circle. Particularly with 15-17 year olds, as we want to go out and have a good time on a Friday/Saturday night, and we cannot legally drink or go to clubs, pubs etc, the cinema is a perfect way to get out and socialise with friends rather than staying in - this is a perfect opportunity for this age group to go and see the film, as horror films are a particularly popular genre.

Our Secondary audience is based around the older generation that enjoy Horror/Thriller movies as a particular genre. This would be a perfect opportunity for someone to buy a friend as a gift, if they know they're into horror films this would be the perfect DVD to get them as a birthday/christmas present which is why these people would fit into our secondary audience. As well as this, a first date, which can be with both the younger and older generation, as the cinema is a popular location to go on a first date - particularly horror/thriller films, as it gives the male the opportunity to comfort and impress their date by showing that they are not scared.. Even if they are!
